Pacquiao vs Marquez: HBO's Under the Lights Scouting Report (Video)

Scott Christ is the managing editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2006.

Here's a quick video package that serves as sort of a scouting report for tonight's third fight between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez. I really, really think this is good and useful stuff, as it educates and entertains.

At the least, it makes a decent argument that the fight is one to watch tonight. I think most who are interested are watching no matter what, since that's what we do as boxing fans, we watch boxing. But the overall consensus -- and fairly so -- is that it will be a Pacquiao wipeout. I do get the feeling from casual fans I've noticed that they're expecting a knockout and don't figure Marquez can hold up. Whether or not they're familiar with the first two fights between the two is unclear, but there are boxing experts who believe it will be a short, brutal fight, too, so it's not that uncommon a thought. Marquez knows Pacquiao better than anyone, but there are a lot of open questions about how this plays out in 2011.
