Here's a quick update to our previous story, in which we noted that the New York State Athletic Commission has made no real decision and is requiring an additional exam from Antonio Margarito to even consider denying or approving his license, Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated says that Bob Arum, who is not at the hearing in person, has some conditions for an additional exam:

Arum says they will agree to an independent doc approved by both Margarito's doc and commission's doc.

In other words, Bob Arum is standing as firm as possible while also kind of agreeing.

As we said before, there are 15 days until this fight is taking place. Is that really enough time to get all of this done, considering New York could do the exam and still turn Margarito down for a license based on the medical exam? My early guess is probably not. And if Top Rank thinks they have to move this fight, they have to do it right away. There's no time to burn on this matter. If it has to go to Mississippi or Texas or Colorado, that has to be done now, tickets have to be sold, and everything else has to be put in order.

This is a staredown between Bob Arum and the New York State Athletic Commission.
