Pacquiao vs Marquez: Pay-Per-View Hype Show (Video)

Scott Christ is the managing editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2006.

Here is Saturday's pre-show hype video for the Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez show.

The hype package starts by saying that Pacquiao vs Marquez is this century's (2000s) greatest boxing rivalry. Now they say crap like this all the time in these silly things, but would you agree with that? It's not that bold a claim, really, as there haven't been a lot of great rivalries this century.

My vote would go to the trilogy between Erik Morales and Marco Antonio Barrera, and you also have to consider Arturo Gatti vs Micky Ward and Israel Vazquez vs Rafael Marquez. But if Pacquiao vs Marquez III is a great fight, I think you have to go that way. The first two were classics, and this fight will be bigger than any in the Morales vs Barrera, Gatti vs Ward, or Vazquez vs Marquez series, plus bigger than the first two Pacquiao vs Marquez fights. So the size of the stage helps.
