Fred Sternburg tweeted this morning that Saturday night's fight between Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito is officially sold out at Madison Square Garden:
Cotto (36-2, 29 KO) and Margarito (38-7, 27 KO) are expected to have a seriously loud crowd at the Garden, which despite its fall-off in recent years as a boxing venue, still houses some of the most passionate fight fans anywhere in the world when a big fight does come to town.

But credit a few others for selling tickets here, too. Pawel Wolak, the popular Polish brawler, also put a lot of butts in the seats for his rematch with Delvin Rodriguez, which will open the pay-per-view broadcast.

And while it will no doubt be a Puerto Rican-heavy audience, the Mexican boxing fans are surely coming to see Brandon Rios, who faces John Murray, as well as Margarito. Philadelphia's Mike Jones is also fighting close to home against Argentina's Sebastian Lujan, but frankly of the four fights on the card, that surely was least responsible for ticket sales (even though it's a good fight).
Expect an electric house on Saturday night. This is going to have the beloved big fight atmosphere in a major way.
