Reports are coming in today that former heavyweight champion of the world Muhammad Ali had a recent hospital stint after falling unconscious on November 19 at his home near Phoenix, and that the 69-year-old Ali is now back home and recovering.

It's not known what Ali was treated for at the hospital, nor how long he spent there.

He has since recovered, however, as it's understood the champ spent the Thanksgiving weekend in Las Vegas with family.

"He has many medical specialists in Phoenix in his life -- some that are renowned doctors in Parkinson's and other fields that have even become close friends with him and the family. So for the family to call 911 for help -- they must have really been scared," a source close to the boxer told Star.

The date that Ali was taken to the hospital would mean that it was five days after Ali went to Philadelphia to attend the funeral of Joe Frazier, his great rival and a former heavyweight champion himself, who passed away on November 7.

It's good to hear that Ali is back home and recovering, and we wish the champ all the best.
