The least talked about fight on tonight's Cotto vs Margarito II pay-per-view card is the welterweight bout between Philadelphia's Mike Jones and Argentina's Sebastian Lujan. While physically the fight looks like a mismatch, with Jones possessing a six-inch height advantage, there is some concern that Lujan will be tough and relentless enough to make a go of it.
The sportsbooks are definitely seeing it going the "house fighter's" way, though, as Jones has been installed as a significant favorite:
Sportsbook | Jones | Lujan |
---|---|---|
5Dimes | -900 |
+600 |
BetUS | -800 |
+500 |
Bodog | -850 |
+525 |
SBG Global | -800 |

Definitely not surprising odds here, given that Jones (25-0, 19 KO) is absolutely the guy booked to win. But the odds don't reflect that Lujan (38-5-2, 24 KO) should be able to make this a good fight, or at least exciting. He's never been afraid to get hit or take punishment -- even almost losing an ear once against Antonio Margarito.
