Floyd Mayweather's Finger Poke of Doom is now a thing of the past. Mayweather took a plea bargain that left him with a $1,000 fine to pay for allegedly poking a security guard in the face last year, settling the second part of his legal woes.
He still has to report for a 90-day jail sentence on January 6, which has left a spring fight questionable at best.
The plea acknowledged allegations that Mayweather poked the 21-year-old guard in the face several times with his finger during their argument in front of Mayweather’s million-dollar-plus home in an exclusive gated community several miles south of the Las Vegas Strip, according to the AP.
So with the 90-day jail sentence and a $1,000 fine for the poking incident, Mayweather is pretty well settled up overall, and is getting off about as light as anyone might have expected. He'll be back in the ring at some point this year, but likely not on May 5 as previously scheduled.
