Bad Left Hook Live Boxing Results & Commentary: James Kirkland v. Jhon Berrio on Solo Boxeo

Starting at 11:30 pm EDT (so in just a few minutes), Solo Boxeo on Telefutura features a Golden Boy Promotions double-header, and one of the most exciting fighters in the sport will be in action.

Junior middleweight James Kirkland (26-0, 23 KO) fights for the second time this month after a two-year layoff due to a stint in prison, facing Colombian Jhon Berrio (15-8, 11 KO) in the fight most will be tuning in to see. Kirkland is the overwhelming favorite, of course, but for many this is the first chance to see Kirkland back in action since his return to boxing. He knocked out Ahsandi Gibbs in 34 seconds in his March 5 comeback fight, and is working his way back to 154 pounds and into ring shape.

The other featured bout will see 22-year-old lightweight prospect Luis Ramos Jr. (17-0, 8 KO) take on tough professional opponent Jose Hernandez (10-4-1, 5 KO). Don't be fooled by Hernandez's mediocre record -- the 24-year-old from Fort Worth, nicknamed "Loco," can fight, and has given stern tests to Matt Remillard, Mickey Bey Jr. and Michael Perez. His only bad loss came to Sharif Bogere last February (TKO-3).

There will also be a card starting at 11:35 on Telemundo, featuring a main event of Dante Jardon against Humberto Martinez in the super featherweight division.
