This Saturday in Manchester, Amir Khan faces Paul McCloskey, which will air live in the UK on Primetime and later on tape delay in the US on HBO.
HBO's Ring Life feature on Khan is below. Khan talks about the Maidana fight, his background, giving back to his community via his gym, and losing. Quite a nice feature, really.
Khan also told ESPN UK that he's not distracted by the TV mess that went down in the UK, with Saturday's fight bumped from Sky Box Office to Sky Sports 3 and now to Primetime:
"People have asked me if it has distracted me but I'm so focused on my job, and my job is to fight and win," he said. "I've left it to my team and hopefully after the fight I'll sit down with them and see what the truth behind it was."
To be blunt, it seems like the truth is pretty clear. Sky weren't interested in charging PPV money for a merely decent main event and a very weak undercard that fell apart and couldn't be saved.
