Here's another bonus video from Showtime's Fight Camp 360, which airs on Saturday night at 10pm EDT, right before the Juan Manuel Lopez-Orlando Salido fight. In this 90-second clip, we explore the unmatched popularity of Pacquiao in his homeland. I figure Pacquiao just in the Philippines has more presence than any other fighter's world presence.
You know, now that we've seen them do a big, event-type fight with the Fight Camp 360 format, I think I can say without question that I like it more than HBO's 24/7, and that's not a knock on 24/7, which I enjoy greatly. It's all just a bit less melodramatic. It's kind of like comparing The Allman Brothers Band to Lynyrd Skynyrd, with Fight Camp 360 being the Allman Brothers Band and 24/7 being Lynyrd Skynyrd. I actually prefer Skynyrd in that scenario, but they're a lot more dramatic lyrically, while the Allmans focused more on the technical and the jammin', and I understand why many prefer the Allmans, because I now have this boxing reality show comparison.
