I keep meaning to get on the fight preview for this card, but new stuff just keeps flying in. Showtime has video from today's weigh-in for tomorrow night's card in Puerto Rico.
In the super featherweight co-feature, Martin Honorio came in at 131 pounds, while home fighter Luis Cruz weighed in at 129¾. Given that this is short notice, there was likely a pound or two of leeway for Honorio making the 130-pound limit, and realistically he probably isn't gaining any advantage from that pound and a quarter.
For the featherweight main event, Juan Manuel Lopez weighed in at 125, a pound under the 126-pound limit. Orlando Salido hit 126 on the nose. For those interested in the betting lines, Bodog has Lopez as a -825 favorite, with Salido a +525 underdog. We're talking pretty big odds (Lopez is a bigger betting favorite than Manny Pacquiao against Shane Mosley), but I still think this could be a trap fight. And maybe if I can keep my brain working for a while, I'll actually get that preview done.
