Trainer Roger Mayweather spoke with DaTruthBoxing.com today and addressed a few topics, most notably the ring return of his nephew Floyd Mayweather Jr., who currently has not fought for a year and is in some legal hot water at the time with two pending trials that keep getting pushed back. One trial is for poking a security guard in the face, while the more serious charges are an eight-charge mix of felonies and misdemeanors for a domestic violence accusation.
Here's the video:
The most discussed stuff here is probably going to stem from the fact that Roger says Floyd will be back in the ring this summer, and that they've been talking to Jerry Jones about holding a fight at Cowboys Stadium in Texas, where Manny Pacquiao fought twice last year in front of what were large, but in the end probably somewhat disappointing crowds against Joshua Clottey and Antonio Margarito. Roger also (sort of) addresses the Paul Spadafora as Floyd opponent rumors and some other topics, and says that they want Pacquiao, but then we've heard that before -- from both sides.
