Dan Rafael of ESPN.com reported yesterday evening that the Klitschko brothers have made up their minds on which brother will face which top contender in the coming months.
With the date still either June 25 or July 2, Wladimir Klitschko will indeed face David Haye, while older brother Vitali will meet Tomasz Adamek in September. Adamek has a fight on Saturday night with Kevin McBride, but all expectations are that it will be a glorified sparring session for the 34-year-old Adamek. Vitali is also figuring out the particulars, including opponent, for a June 4 fight.
As for Wladimir-Haye, HBO is apparently going to live up to its word of not caring about the heavyweight division except for this very fight, and I would suspect that unless there is a long-term deal in place between Vitali and Epix, the network will be highly interested in Vitali-Adamek as well.
Vitali-Adamek would take place in Poland, giving Adamek a big home court advantage and surely making for a killer atmosphere.
