To begin:

"Anthony Mundine is "targeting" the winner of the June 11 fight between Austin Trout and David Lopez. Ohhh, of course he is. Why, I bet he plans to make his name in America with said fight! He always fights the best opponents."

Today:

"Anthony Mundine (41-4, 24 KO), fresh from his rematch win over Garth Wood (10-2-1, 6 KO), will likely return in a ten round bout on June 5 against Xavier Toliver (23-6, 15 KOs) at Waitakere's Trust Stadium in Henderson, New Zealand."

If you would like to look up Toliver's record, here's a link. He is a 5-foot-8, 30-year-old fighter born in College Park, Georgia, now living in Araphoe, North Carolina. He has been knocked out four times. He has fought twice since 2006.

Nobody knows who this fighter is. Nobody anywhere except small towns where he's fought in the southern United States. With apologies to Xavier Toliver, who bless him is going to travel to New Zealand for some money and a bigger fight than he deserves, this is laughable.

Please, nobody ever ask me again why Mundine gets trashed for his level of "competition." How did they even come up with this fight? They had to go out and find Xavier Tolliver. Are the club fighters in Australia getting too tough for Mundine anymore?

This would be a new low for Mundine.
