Video: One-on-One with Jean Pascal

Scott Christ is the managing editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2006.

HBO recently did a one-on-one sitdown with Jean Pascal, who comes off a bit differently when he's not being egged on by the aggressive trash talk of Bernard Hopkins.

Pascal: "Bernard Hopkins is a great fighter. I can't take that away from him. He's a legend, he's a living legend. This is a big task for me. But he has some flaws like everybody else. He's not perfect. ... The first fight was a great fight, I was telling people at the press conference, 'Don't be surprised if this fight is Fight of the Year.' At the end of the fight, when the result was a draw, I said, 'Heck no.' I said, 'A draw?' Honestly I was really sad, I was really disappointed. Let's do it again, to find a winner next time. The first fight, people were saying that was a teacher against a student. This fight, I'm gonna tell you something: It's gonna be a man versus another man."

Pascal rematches Bernard Hopkins this coming Saturday night on HBO from the Bell Centre in Montreal. Stick with Bad Left Hook for extensive fight week coverage of Pascal vs Hopkins II.
