Video: The New Smash "Heart of a Champion" by Roy Jones Jr

Scott Christ is the managing editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2006.

Hey, everybody! It's the new Roy Jones Jr hit song, "Heart of a Champion"!

I guess in some regrettable way it's probably kind of easy to be amused by all of this, when one of the greatest criticisms of prime Roy Jones Jr was that he didn't care about boxing, or didn't take it all that seriously, and definitely didn't have, in the opinion of many, the "heart of a champion." He was Roy Jones Jr because of his physical gifts, and there's nothing wrong with that at all, but Jones was never known for his gutsiness or anything like that.

Earlier we posted the Lebedev-friendly odds for Jones' fight tomorrow in Moscow, but the more you look at Roy here at age 42, the friendlier they seem. He looks his age, and nothing about his interviews seems to say, "I'm fighting for a purpose" anymore. He's fighting because, you know, he's a boxer, and that's what he does for a living. In the comments of the odds thread, we discussed just how reckless and pointless this all seems. They can't even get Jones on U.S. TV anymore. Not even on an independent PPV or ESPN3.com or anything.

After the jump, some news clips of Jones working out and talking about the fight and interacting with ring girls and what have you.
