Tonight at 10 p.m. EDT, HBO presents a light heavyweight double-header, featuring a main event with a chance to make history. Bernard Hopkins, at 46, attempts tonight for the second time to become the oldest fighter in history to win a major title, as he rematches Jean Pascal after their controversial draw in December.
In the co-feature, American Chad Dawson returns against Quebec-based Romanian Adrian "The Shark" Diaconu. Dawson, should he win, will face the Pascal vs Hopkins winner this fall, or at least that is the current plan. Dawson suffered his first-ever pro loss last time out, in August against Pascal in this very same building. Now he faces Diaconu, whose only two losses as a professional are also to Pascal.
The Bell Centre in Montreal is arguably the very best venue in all of boxing, with passionate fans that pack the house every time there's a major fight in the arena, and the atmosphere is expected to be pretty hot tonight. We'll have live, round-by-round coverage and scoring of both featured fights, with immediate post-fight analysis.
