TMZ has been all over this Oscar de la Hoya in rehab deal, and they've got the latest news. The "Golden Boy" entered a rehab facility, which was reported Saturday afternoon, and the only detail was that he was dealing with a substance abuse issue.

Oscar De La Hoya began drinking and using cocaine, which then caused him to have infidelity problems in his marriage, sources connected with the former boxing champ tell TMZ. ... Oscar has told friends he does not believe he hit bottom, but checked himself into rehab before things got totally out of control.
The story has surprised many in boxing, but mostly the chatter is very quiet and distant, a respectful treatment of the former superstar fighter and current top promoter. Which is nice to see, honestly. Hopefully Oscar can deal with all of this and put it behind him, sort his life out, and get back to work.
