Chris Arreola weighed in at a trim 236 pounds for tomorrow night's Friday Night Fights main event in Reno, just two pounds heavier than he was on May 14. While it's a slight weight "gain," it's also a short turnaround, and Arreola actually looked better at this weigh-in than he did to face Nagy Aguilera.
His opponent Kendrick Releford came in at 230 pounds. In the co-feature, contender Tony Thompson was at 255½, with opponent Maurice Harris at 244 pounds.
Also on the show are 2008 U.S. Olympian Javier Molina (5-0, 4 KO), as well as 2000 Olympian Ricardo Williams Jr, one of the biggest prospect busts of the last decade, looking to get his career back on track after lousy performances and a stint in prison. Williams (17-2, 10 KO) returned to the pro rings in 2008 and has had a couple of OK wins since then (Dairo Esalas, Harrison Cuello), but is still a long way off from getting into the race at welterweight.
