Video: Glen Johnson Profiled by Showtime Sports

Scott Christ is the managing editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2006.

Glen Johnson is 42 years old, has been fighting professionally since 1993, and has been in the title ranks since 1997. But while Johnson is universally respected in and around the boxing world for his toughness, his talent, and his mental fortitude, it's rare to see him profiled as anything but the man in the ring. Here's a Showtime Sports clip with Johnson talking about his background.

"The Road Warrior" faces Carl Froch on Saturday night at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, in the semi-finals of the Super Six World Boxing Classic. The winner faces undefeated American Andre Ward later this year.

Johnson (51-14-2, 35 KO) is once again fighting to stay in the race, which it seems like we've probably said of him about eight times over the last five or six years. The man has proven basically impossible to keep down (and I don't just mean that he's only been stopped once), so even if he does lose on Saturday, don't count out him coming back strong and winding up a top contender once again.
