Antonio Margarito's team has stated that they're ready to accept a rematch with Miguel Cotto on December 3, and the fight looks headed to New York City:
"First they had said it was going to be in Las Vegas but then it was moved to New York. This will ensure a good showing at the box office. What was stopping us was the medical approval but he received it from the doctor and now he can move forward. He is already in light training."
Cotto vs Margarito II has been targeted ever since Margarito lost to Manny Pacquiao last November, but injuries picked up in that fight to Margarito's eye have delayed it until the end of this year. In the meantime, Cotto has fought just once, beating Ricardo Mayorga in March. After a brief retirement scare due to his injuries, Margarito is back in business and ready to move forward with his career.
The fight will almost surely end up on pay-per-view via Showtime or HBO. We've asked before, but here it is again: Will you order this fight? If not, is it objection to Margarito, or do you just not want to see the fight?
