The Super Six World Boxing Classic final bout has a working date, according to The Sun, as the fight between Andre Ward and Carl Froch is being targeted for October 29 in either Las Vegas or New York.
Froch (28-1, 20 KO) is pushing for the fight to be in Las Vegas. Without some serious promotion and more casual interest than most would likely assume there to be in the fight, it's not going to sell big at the gate in either city. Ward (24-0, 13 KO) and Froch just aren't big draws, no matter how important the fight is on paper, and neither of them has ever fought -- let alone headlined -- in Vegas or New York.
The early buzz seems to be calling for a Ward domination, with respect to Froch. It just appears as though most feel Froch is made for Ward and will have an awful struggle with someone as skilled as Ward, who thus far has barely even lost a round in Super Six fights against Mikkel Kessler, Allan Green or Abraham.
