Top Rank and Showtime are working on a November double-header of compelling rematches, reports Dan Rafael. If the show gets done, it would feature Orlando Salido defending the featherweight belt he won from Juan Manuel Lopez in April, and Jorge Arce defending the super bantamweight belt he won from Wilredo Vazquez Jr on the Pacquiao vs Mosley show, a pair of rematches from great fights.

Salido (35-11-2, 23 KO) shocked the boxing world by toppling Lopez (30-1, 27 KO) in Puerto Rico, stopping the star on his home turf in the eighth round after wobbling him several times with a locked-in right hand. Arce (57-6-2, 44 KO) proved skeptics wrong by stopping the young Vazquez (20-1-1, 17 KO) in the 12th round of a great battle that stole the show on May 7.

The card makes sense all around. Both rematches are important and come from terrific fights, and both fights would feature the younger Puerto Rican looking to avenge a loss to the Mexican veteran, so you have Mexico vs Puerto Rico reignited once again, too, with a couple of significant fights.

Let's hope this one gets done, because if the fights were even 80% as good as they were the first time, we could have one great night of action.
