Pick'em Game: Season 7 - Week 2 Standings

We have weeks like this once in awhile, where a few players manage to emerge with quality scores, while the majority wish they had just entered "pass" more often.  Grady Brewer?  How many pick'em players saw that coming?  The answer is not a single one.  Nobody took the 40 year old former contender winner at 8 to 1 odds to topple Fernando Guerrero this past Friday night.

Enough of the bad news, let's get to the players that called things right.  Topping the list was tencount with a strong 38.5 points, thanks to a 6 for 7 score that included a successful double on Saul Alvarez to win by stoppage.  Taking second spot with a 5 for 7 week and 27.5 points was notclements, who along with the aforementioned weekly leader, were the only players to correctly pick Anselmo Moreno to stop Lorenzo Parra inside the distance.

Placing third was Manuwar (3 for 3, 1 double) at 23, followed by waldo47 (1 for 1, 1 triple) in fourth with 20.5, and another very selective player, DodgerFan86 (2 for 2, 1 double) in fifth with 17 points.

Rounding out the top ten are the five other players that managed to avoid scoring below the 10 point bonus: Nonpariel Barry Punchbag (3 for 7, 1 double) 15.5 , your friendly BullsBlogger (3 for 5, 1 double) 15.5, DrHenrik (3 for 7, 1 double) 12, Sweet science (2 for 6, 1 double) 10.5 and jrok (3 for 7, 1 triple) 10.

After the dominant week, tencount jumps all the way from outside the top twenty to the overall top spot with 52.5 points.  Tied for second are waldo47 and Manuwar with 36.5 points each, followed by DodgerFan86 in fourth with 33 and DrHenrik in fifth at 31.  The rest of the top ten has Bajingo at 30, bazzlad 28, BrianBrock 27.5, notclements 27.5 and jrok with 27.
