Sturm vs Macklin, Brook vs N'dou: Weights for Saturday Clashes

Scott Christ is the managing editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2006.

Felix Sturm and Matthew Macklin both made weight for tomorrow's WBA middleweight title fight in Germany.

Sturm came in today at 158 pounds on the scales, while the visitor Macklin was at 159. Both looked in strong shape for the fight, which will air on Epix and EpixHD.com in the States, SAT1 in Germany, and Sky Sports in the UK. Bad Left Hook will have live coverage of the Sky broadcast tomorrow, which combines that fight with the Kell Brook vs Lovemore N'dou fight in Sheffield.

As for the Brook vs N'dou fight, Brook came in at 146.3 pounds, with N'dou at 147.1 for the welterweight 12-rounder.

Don't forget to check out Dave Oakes' full preview of Brook vs N'dou from this morning.

The Sky Sports broadcast starts at 3:30 EDT, while SAT1 and Epix will go live at 4pm. The Epix broadcast team for Sturm vs Macklin will include ESPN.com's Dan Rafael, along with Bruce Beck (play-by-play), Lennox Lewis, John Duddy and Chris Mannix handling their official live blog on the site. That's all going to be...interesting.
