Bad Left Hook will be here with live coverage and updates in the comments of this post for today's New York press conference for the September 17 fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr and Victor Ortiz. The video below will start at 11:30am EDT:

Mayweather (41-0, 25 KO) has not fought since May 2010 when he survived an early scare against Shane Mosley to come back and boss the fight, while Ortiz (29-2-2, 22 KO) is entering the mega events of boxing for the first time after defeating Andre Berto in a great fight in April, winning the WBC welterweight belt.

This fight is only getting a two-city promotional tour for press conferences, and tomorrow the duo will be in Los Angeles. But HBO and Golden Boy are both planning a huge promotional push overall, including taking advantage of Time Warner's overall media network. It all starts today, though -- you may not like Mayweather, but it's an event when he fights, and today will be the first time he speaks in public to more than one outlet in a long time. Join us!
