Amir Khan has reunited with famed strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza for his upcoming July 23 fight against Zab Judah. From The Sun:
"I am back working with Alex, there is no point in splitting up a team if it's working well so Alex is back with me and my trainer Freddie Roach.
"Alex apologised to me for what he said was a heat of the moment thing when we sat down together in my hotel room in Vegas.
"My dad Shah was there and so was my business manager Asif Vali and all of us decided it was time to move forward together."
Khan (25-1, 17 KO) was very unhappy with his own performance in April when he worked without Ariza in his camp following a blow-up between the two after Khan's December 2010 win over Marcos Maidana. The two had a meeting with trainer Freddie Roach in attendance in early May, and are now back on the same page. It seems that after working without him once, the Khans now have no doubt that Ariza, who became famous working with Manny Pacquiao, is an extremely valuable member of the team to have on board. And given the success of Pacquiao, plus the success Khan has had since joining up with Roach and Ariza, it's hard to argue. Particularly when Khan did not, in fact, look "like himself" against Paul McCloskey.
