Boxing TV Notes: Top Rank Streaming Mike Lee Card, Segura Out on Thursday

Top Rank will be streaming the full card at Notre Dame's Joyce Center on Friday night, featuring Subway spokesman Mike Lee (6-0, 4 KO) returning to his alma mater for the first-ever pro boxing card at the historic campus.

Lee will be facing Jacob Stiers (4-1, 2 KO). Also in action will be 21-year-old junior middleweight prospect and former Manny Pacquiao sparring partner Glen Tapia (10-0, 5 KO). Also, local super middleweight Travis Loveless (20-0, 17 KO) faces Troy Lowry (27-11, 16 KO), and even though Lowry hasn't won a fight since 2005, this probably still qualifies as a step up in competition. Derrick Findley (18-6, 11 KO) will battle Darnell Wilson (9-1-2, 7 KO) in a middleweight bout. Everything on the show is eight rounds or less, so it should be a quick-moving show.

We will be doing live round-by-round coverage of the Notre Dame card, because I'm just more interested in watching this show than I am Solo Boxeo Tecate, which features Seth Mitchell in what should be another easy fight. I'm interested to see the turnout at the Joyce Center, because the school has a big home football game with rivals Michigan State at 3:30 EDT the next day.

Also, there's been a switch in the Thursday card on Azteca, as Giovani Segura pulled out of his main event with Luis Carlos Leon. Instead, Julio Cesar "Pingo" Miranda will face Leon. Miranda was supposed to take on Devis Perez. Perez will now face Felipe Orucuta.
