In front of a crowd of thousands this afternoon in Las Vegas, the main undercard fighters on the MGM Grand portion of tomorrow night's Mayweather vs Ortiz pay-per-view weighed in for their bouts.
Erik Morales and Pablo Cesar Cano both hit 140 pounds on the button for their vacant WBC junior welterweight title fight. Morales (51-7, 35 KO) and Cano (22-0-1, 17 KO) both looked in somewhat questionable shape, as Morales looked very gaunt, while Cano was seen chugging a bottle of water immediately after he stepped off the scales.
In another junior welterweight bout, Josesito Lopez (29-3, 17 KO) came in at 140½, with Vargas at 142 pounds.
Both of those bouts will be featured tomorrow on the Mayweather vs Ortiz undercard, with a third undercard fight being shown live via satellite between Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Alfonso Gomez. Those two weighed in this afternoon in Los Angeles, with Alvarez coming in at 153.6, a pound heavier than Gomez's 152.6.
