Floyd Mayweather Sr was his usual highly-animated self in an interview with On the Ropes Boxing Radio, calling Manny Pacquiao "the devil" and addressing several other topics as well.
JENNA: Alright well Floyd the aftermath of the fight brought a lot of comments from people in boxing, and one in particular was Manny Pacquiao. He said that the fight itself was disgraceful the way it ended. What do you think of his views?
MAYWEATHER: No, he’s disgraceful! Not boxing, he’s disgraceful! He’s disgraceful for boxing, because—he knows why he’s disgraceful for boxing! He wants to run around here and act like he’s a preacher. He wants to act like he’s a holy guy, like a preacher type of guy? Man, come on man! He ain’t nothing but the devil and somebody is going to take care of his ass! Believe me, because he runs off about disgraceful. Yeah, he’s the one that’s disgraceful doing the shit! Everybody knows what he’s doing.
Earlier in the interview, Mayweather had made clear that he wouldn't say that Pacquiao uses performance-enhancing drugs, but whenever the issue is brought up, he has trouble holding back. Whatever you want to say -- and this quote is wildly over the top, in my opinion -- I think it's very clear that Floyd Sr really believes in what he's saying. Even when he tries not to "say it," he winds up more or less saying it.
Floyd Sr also gave his thoughts on Mayweather vs Ortiz, the knockout, Joe Cortez, Larry Merchant (and Max Kellerman), Amir Khan, his own training career these days, and the fact nobody knows shit about boxing.
