The October 28 fight between Eddie Chambers and Tony Thompson, which will serve as an IBF heavyweight eliminator, is officially the headline bout of a ShoBox triple-header from Bally's in Atlantic City.
Chambers (36-2, 18 KO) and Thompson (36-2, 24 KO) are fighting for the right to rematch Wladimir Klitschko sometime in 2012. Chambers was knocked out by Klitschko in 2010, while Thompson was stopped by the champ in 2008.
Also in action on ShoBox will be promising welterweight prospect and former Olympian Javier Molina (9-0, 4 KO), who faces Artemio Reyes (13-1, 11 KO) in an eight-rounder. Reyes, 25, has faced largely easy competition so far, but Molina has shown a few flaws, namely a lack of punching power. He was last seen on September 15, cruising to a six-round decision win over John Revish.
The third fight will feature Goossen Tutor's recently-signed middleweight Brandon Gonzales (14-0, 10 KO), who was the fighter in the ring sparring with Andre Ward when Ward came up cut last week. He has no opponent named yet.
Tickets are priced at $75 and $50 and can be purchased at Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com, and the Bally's.
