Thursday, September 29

Sky Sports (U.K.), 1 p.m. EDT, Ringside.

Friday, September 30

BoxNation (U.K.), 2 p.m. EDT, Liam Walsh vs Paul Appleby, Steve O'Meara vs Ryan Toms. This is the first live fight on BoxNation. Walsh (11-0, 8 KO) will be defending the Commonwealth super featherweight belt against Appleby (17-2, 11 KO), a quality domestic fighter and former British featherweight champ. Bad Left Hook will have live round-by-round coverage.

Showtime / Premier Sports (U.K.), 11 p.m. EDT, Ajose Olusegun vs Ali Chebah, Darley Perez vs Oscar Meza. Olusegun and Chebah are fighting a WBC eliminator at 140 pounds, where the winner would in theory be in line to fight Erik Morales but in reality will probably wind up having to jump through a few more hopes and farting about with silver titles and the like. Bad Left Hook will have live round-by-round coverage.

Telefutura, 11:30 p.m. EDT, Luis Ramos Jr vs David Rodela, Ronny Rios vs TBA. Nice main event on this Solo Boxeo Tecate, and Rodela could be a live dog. Ramos has shown flaws in the past, and Rodela is a tough, scrappy guy who is no pushover.

Saturday, October 1

BoxNation (U.K.), 2 p.m. EDT, Steve Cunningham vs Yoan Pablo Hernandez, Sebastian Sylvester vs Grzegorz Proksa. Sauerland Event gets their first crack on BoxNation with this one, and having Sauerland cards on UK TV from here on out is great for an international viewer like yours truly. Cunningham vs Hernandez is a legitimately interesting fight, because I think Hernandez is definitely capable of the win. We'll see. Bad Left Hook will have live round-by-round coverage.

Sky Sports (U.K.), 3 p.m. EDT, Gavin Rees vs Derry Mathews. Rees is defending his European lightweight title in this one, a rescheduled fight from the summer. Sky is going to be feeling the heat from BoxNation quickly, and this will be the first instance of that.

Integrated Sports PPV, 9 p.m. EDT, Juan Manuel Lopez vs Mike Oliver, Roman Martinez vs Daniel Attah, Jonathan Oquendo vs Jose Luis Araiza. Shockingly, this card didn't hold up as originally booked, and Martinez and Oquendo both have late replacement opponents. Not particularly lame late replacement opponents, but replacements regardless. If it weren't for Oliver's very shaky chin, he'd be a star fighter, as he has a pair of the fastest hands in boxing today, up there with any of the top fighters you can name.

HBO / Sky Sports (U.K.), 10 p.m. EDT, Sergio Martinez vs Darren Barker, Andy Lee vs Brian Vera II. Martinez and Barker will probably fight in front of enough comped viewers that the crowd won't be embarrassing on TV, but the fight is being seen as one-sided. The real money here may be the co-feature. Lee and Vera had a nice tear-up a couple years ago, and Lee is back on HBO after his great win over Craig McEwan in March. Vera always, always comes to fight, and Lee is still a vulnerable fighter. Bad Left Hook will have live round-by-round coverage.

Televisa (Mexico), 10 p.m. EDT, Sammy Gutierrez vs Roilo Golez, Alejandro Sanabria vs Pedro Navarrete.

Televisa (Mexico), 10 p.m. EDT, Roberto Ortiz vs Dunis Linan.

Fox Sports Net / Fox Deportes / Premier Sports (U.K.), 11 p.m. EDT, Toshiaki Nishioka vs Rafael Marquez, Roman Gonzalez vs Omar Soto. We might be able to fit in the main event of this show, and hopefully we will. Nishioka vs Marquez is a really good fight, and if it lines up, we'll have live coverage after the HBO show. Gonzalez vs Soto should easy for the highly-talented "Chocolatito."
