Pacquiao vs Marquez IV: 13,000 tickets sold on opening weekend

Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez might not be facing any trouble selling their fourth fight after all, as 13,000 tickets have already been sold to the December 8 fight.

Ed Mulholland-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Top Rank says that 13,000 tickets have already been sold to the fourth fight between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez on December 8 at the MGM Grand, giving the early impression that boxing fans just aren't quite as tired of the matchup or the fighters as some have suspected they might have been.

Personally, I'm not surprised at all. Diehard boxing fans may be worn out on this fight, but as I've said before, 2011 was the first Pacquiao-Marquez fight for a lot of boxing fans (and yes, everyone who cares even about just the big fights gets to be called a boxing fan), not the third, and we're still talking about two of the best fighters and biggest stars in the entire sport.

It's been a rivalry for the history books thus far, and a fourth fight still has me intrigued.

Top Rank boss Bob Arum says that less than 3,000 tickets remain for the fight, so if you want to go, here's the quick information. ACT NOW FOR THIS FOUR TIMES IN A LIFETIME DEAL!

Tickets to Pacquiao-Márquez 4 are priced at $1,200, $900, $600, $400, and $200. Ticket sales at $1,200, $900, $600 and $400 are limited to 10 per person and ticket sales at $200 are limited to two (2) per person. To charge by phone with a major credit card, call Ticketmaster (800) 745-3000. Tickets also are available for purchase at www.mgmgrand.com or www.ticketmaster.com.
