The full four-fight card is officially set for Showtime's November 10 quadrupleheader, as IBF bantamweight titlist Leo Santa Cruz will face Victor Zaleta as part of the bill.
The night's main event will be Abner Mares vs Anselmo Moreno in a very interesting super bantamweight title fight, with Alfredo Angulo returning to face Raul Casarez, and Nathan Cleverly coming over from the UK to face Ryan Coyne in what should amount to a showcase fight, with the WBO light heavyweight title on the line.
Santa Cruz (21-0-1, 12 KO) had turned a few heads with appearances on lower-level shows like Solo Boxeo Tecate the last couple of years, but has really picked up some fan interest this year, going 2-0 on Showtime with impressive, exciting wins over Vusi Malinga and Eric Morel. He's a punch output machine, kills the body, and just has a ton of appeal for boxing fans of all kinds.
Zaleta (20-2-1, 10 KO) is a solid opponent. His last fight with a 12-round draw with Juan Jose "Goofy" Montes on June 2, where Montes came in well overweight for the super flyweight fight. The one knock on the choice of Zaleta, really, is that he's never fought as a bantamweight. He was scheduled to face Liborio Solis for an interim WBA super flyweight title on October 27.
