Timothy Bradley vs Lamont Peterson rematch likely for December 15 in Miami

Timothy Bradley might finally have his next opponent, when he headlines an HBO card at Miami's Marlins Park on December 15, and if the report turns out to be true, it'll be a fight we've all seen before.

it looks like it will be Tim Bradley rematching Lamont Peterson on Dec. 15th at 147 pounds in Miami, Fl. according to sources

Peterson (30-1-1, 15 KO) hasn't fought since last December, when he scored a controversial decision win over Amir Khan in Washington, DC, which became even more controversial months later, when Peterson failed a VADA drug test ahead of a scheduled May 19 rematch with Khan, which canceled that fight. Peterson then admitted to having used synthetic testosterone before the fight with Khan in 2011, and has yet to make a case to the Nevada State Athletic Commission, which has been on their agenda for a while.

Peterson also has the IBF junior welterweight title still, and has been ordered to face Zab Judah for that belt. Peterson's manager/trainer Barry Hunter bought that fight with a tiny $50,000 purse bid, but the Bradley fight is quite obviously for bigger money, and it's a chance for Peterson to get revenge for the only loss on his record, which came in 2009, as Bradley scored a wide decision win in a 140-pound fight in California.

At this point, it is down to Peterson or Ruslan Provodnikov, and with all respect to Provodnikov, a fun action fighter, the Peterson fight is a lot more notable.
