Kell Brook vs Hector Saldivia: Fight time, undercard, TV listings

Kell Brook faces Hector Saldivia in the headline bout of a Sky Sports tripleheader today in Sheffield.

Today at 3 p.m. EDT, Sky Sports presents a tripleheader from the Sheffield Arena, featuring two world title eliminators and a British title fight. Bad Left Hook will have live coverage and updates of the show.

In the main event, Kell Brook (28-0, 18 KO) will face Hector Saldivia (41-2, 32 KO) in an IBF welterweight eliminator. The winner will know his potential next foe later on tonight, after Randall Bailey defends the belt against Devon Alexander in Brooklyn. Hometown fighter Brook is the heavy favorite against the Argentine visitor.

In the night's second televised fight, former European, British, and Commonwealth bantamweight champion Jamie McDonnell (19-2-1, 8 KO) looks to secure an IBF world title shot when he faces Darwin Zamora (21-6-1, 18 KO) of Nicaragua. Zamora is a replacement for Vusi Malinga. The winner is in line to face Leo Santa Cruz.

The opening TV bout will pit veteran Robin Reid (42-7-1, 29 KO) against Kenny Anderson (17-1, 12 KO) for the vacant British super middleweight title, recently surrendered by George Groves. Groves was slated to face Anderson in a rematch, but it never did come through, leading to plenty of trash talk from the Anderson camp. Reid, 41, returned to the ring in 2011 after retiring following a 2007 loss to Carl Froch, and has gone 3-1 overall. Anderson, 29, has won five straight since losing to Groves in November 2010 in a very good slugfest of a fight, but none of the wins have exactly been top-tier.
