I know this may come as a massive shock, but Nonito Donaire says tonight that a December 15 fight date with Jorge Arce isn't exactly set in stone.
Wanted to let my fans know that Dec 15 is not concrete.I havent heard from my manager and until he says then nothing is a go.

Wow. How could this be? This is only about the 17,483rd rumored date for this fight, which is definitely going to get done and actually happen this time, unlike all the previous times we have been told it was just around the corner, coming up next, a thrill-ride for the ages, Donaire vs Arce, in Mexico City or perhaps on the moon.
Donaire (30-1-1, 19 KO) and Arce (61-6-2, 46 KO) have danced this dance before, of course, so the idea that Nonito won't be back on two months' notice to face Arce in Mexico doesn't exactly stun the ol' system. In fact, it seems quite reasonable and even expected that this will just be yet another round of "negotiations" between the two sides, before it "falls apart" and never happens.
Or maybe it will get done sooner than we think. Who knows? It's all up to his manager and promoter, they make the fights, blah blah blah.
