Cotto vs Trout: Weigh-in photos and results, Canelo Alvarez an interested observer

Miguel Cotto and Austin Trout are good to go for tomorrow night's WBA junior middleweight title clash at Madison Square Garden, and Canelo Alvarez is in the Big Apple to see first-hand what goes down.

Miguel Cotto and Austin Trout made weight today for tomorrow night's WBA junior middleweight title fight on Showtime, live from Madison Square Garden, with Cotto coming in at 153.6 and Trout making the 154-pound limit on a second attempt.

Cotto (37-3, 30 KO) and Trout (25-0, 14 KO) also had a familiar face in the crowd today, and will again at the fight tomorrow night, as Canelo Alvarez has hit New York City to see the action for himself. There is a lot of buzz about a potential Canelo-Cotto fight next spring if Cotto beats Trout tomorrow.

On the undercard, Jayson Velez and Salvador Sanchez II made weight for their featherweight bout, and Danny Jacobs and Chris Fitzpatrick are good to go at a catchweight just north of the middleweight limit. Fitzpatrick was slightly over, but had an hour to lose .3 pounds, and there's basically no way they'd call the fight off over that, anyway.

Showtime goes live tomorrow night at 9 pm EST, and BLH will be here with round-by-round coverage of the event.
