Felix Sturm will promote a December 1 card in Düsseldorf, Germany, headlined by a women's world title fight, and also featuring an intriguing men's heavyweight bout in the co-feature.
In the main event, Susi Kentikian (29-1, 16 KO) will defend the WBA flyweight title against American Carina Moreno (22-5, 6 KO). Kentikian, 25, actually lost her last fight, dropping a majority decision to Melissa McMorrow on May 16, losing the WBO and WIBF titles. But her WBA belt was not on the line, and she hasn't been replaced as champion by that sanctioning body, either, despite not defending since October 2011.
Moreno, 31, is a California native who has lost four of her last five.
The co-feature will pit former world titleholder Ruslan Chagaev (30-2-1, 19 KO) against talented Cuban Mike Perez (18-0, 12 KO) in a fight scheduled for eight rounds. 34-year-old Chagaev has been really sluggish in three wins since losing to Wladimir Klitschko, while the 27-year-old Perez is a potential rising star, a southpaw with skills and power who won a Prizefighter tournament in May 2011, and has since beaten Friday Ahunanya and Zack Page, a pair of veterans.
