Today at 4:30 pm EST, boxing returns to CBS for the first time since 1997, as Golden Boy Promotions brings a pair of live fights from the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena.

In the main event, exciting young IBF bantamweight titlist Leo Santa Cruz (22-0-1, 13 KO) defends against Alberto Guevara (16-0, 6 KO). The 24-year-old Santa Cruz is looking to go 5-0 in what has been a breakout year for the rising star, whose fierce body attack and incredible volume of punches has won over everyone who has seen him thus far.

In the co-feature, Joseph Diaz Jr makes his pro debut at super bantamweight against Vicente Alfaro (5-2, 1 KO). Born in Mexico, Alfaro is now based in Minnesota, where he's gone 5-0. He's 0-2 in California, losing by stoppage to Efrain Esquivias and Manuel Avila. Diaz Jr had a strong showing in London, losing to top-seeded Lazaro Alvarez of Cuba before the medal rounds in a very competitive bout.

BLH will have live round-by-round coverage and immediate post-fight analysis for the bouts, with Brent Brookhouse handling those duties. Join us this afternoon on a big day for boxing!
