Tokyo-based American Charles Bellamy, a.k.a. Charlie Ota, spoke with Bad Left Hook's Sidney Boquiren last Tuesday in regards to his upcoming U.S. debut on the Sergio Martinez vs Matthew Macklin undercard on March 17.

Currently the regional OPBF junior middleweight champion, Bellamy has cleaned out the 154-pound division in Japan and amassed a 19-1-1 record with 13KOs. The 30-year old Maryland native got a little media exposure last year when he joined Saul Alvarez's camp as a sparring partner. He'll be facing Gundrick King (16-7, 11 KO) at The Theater at Madison Square Garden on St. Patrick's Day.
