It seems that Vicente Escobedo is trying to get another big fight on HBO, this time against Adrian Broner. Some of you might remember Escobedo from the decent effort he put up against Robert Guerrero. He got put down a couple times, but gave Guerrero some issues in the later rounds. Escobedo gave World Boxing News some interesting thoughts about Adrien Broner.

"I would like a shot at Broner of course. I think I have the style and skills to beat him," Escobedo told World Boxing News. But I'll go for the first champion my manager and promoter can make a deal with and if that is Broner then I welcome it. He is a very talented fighter but I see chinks in his armor, although I wouldn't tell what they were...The main goal is of course the title shot and we are talking about it for after my next bout. That's what I am gearing up for," he added.

I'm not sure if I like Escobedo's chances at all in this fight. Broner has repeatedly shown us that he has great speed coupled with great power and a halfway decent defense. Of course, some of these performances have come against poor competition and Broner did not look fantastic against Daniel Ponce De Leon. In fact a number of people thought that Broner lost that fight. So if Escobedo could bring the fight to Broner and put him under severe pressure, then this could be a decent fight. Ok I talked myself into liking this fight, what do you guys think? Does Escobedo have a chance of knocking off Adrien "Pops brush my hair" Broner or will Adrien be "The Problem"?
