Nothing special, really, though others are acting like there was a ruckus or the like here, but just an intense moment of Carson Jones talking some trash to Kell Brook at their press conference for the July 7 fight in Sheffield.
More and more, I really like this fight, and this card as a whole, as it features a couple of really good undercard bouts, with a pair of rematches (Gavin Rees vs Derry Mathews, Kerry Hope vs Grzegorz Proksa) that should make this one of the better televised cards on the schedule right now.
I think for those who have seen Jones fight recently, this one is really intriguing. His record (34-8-2, 24 KO) isn't particularly attractive, but he's one of those guys who has had to learn on the job, and he's done so very well, having blossomed into a contender over the last couple of years.
If Kell Brook dominates this one, he will truly be proving something, and it's another step for him. He's gone from the domestic level into the fringe contenders, and now he's going up just a bit more. The plan is to get him a world title shot, and this fight will put the winner in line for a shot against the newly-crowned IBF titleholder, decided on the Pacquiao vs Bradley undercard when Mike Jones meets Randall Bailey.
