Price vs Sexton: Live Results and Round-By-Round Coverage

David Price looks to make his mark on British boxing today against Sam Sexton.

Today at 5:30 p.m. EDT on Sky Sports in the UK, heavyweight prospect David Price looks to pick up the vacant British heavyweight title when he faces former Commonwealth champ Sam Sexton in a 12-round bout from Liverpool. Bad Left Hook will have live round-by-round coverage, assuming the Kessler vs Green coverage does not get in the way of this show's main event. It might and might not. We will most likely miss the co-feature on this show, if that goes up first on Sky.

Price (12-0, 10 KO) has torn through his competition since turning pro in 2009, and now looks to firmly establish himself on the domestic scene. Sexton (15-2, 6 KO) is a solid fighter, but does have two stoppage losses on his record, both to Dereck Chisora. Price is a big-time puncher with both hands, and can do serious damage very quickly. Though Sexton is a good opponent for him at this stage, I admit I struggle to see a way that the Norwich vet can win this one.

The co-feature will be a 12-rounder for the vacant Commonwealth flyweight title, as Kevin Satchell (7-0, 0 KO) faces Paul Edwards (9-1, 3 KO). Neither man is a puncher, but this still shapes up to be a decent fight. Satchell really put a beating on Martin Power his last time out, while Edwards has only ever lost a split decision to tough veteran Chris Edwards.

British junior welterweight champion Ashley Theophane was originally slated for the televised undercard spot, but his opponent Steve Williams pulled out of the fight late and has been replaced by Darren Hamilton (11-2, 3 KO).
