Tonight at 9 p.m. EDT on the NBC Sports Network, a heavyweight double-header from Newark is on tap, headlined by popular Pole Tomasz Adamek against Philly's Eddie Chambers.
Bad Left Hook will have live round-by-round coverage, which should be completed by the time Julio Cesar Chavez Jr vs Andy Lee is in the ring on HBO.
Adamek (45-2, 28 KO) is favored by oddsmakers, but could be in for a really tough test against one of the few guys in the heavyweight division who can match if not surpass him in boxing skill and hand speed.
Chambers (36-2, 18 KO) hasn't fought since February 2011, but came in at a lean 202 pounds for this one, 13 pounds below former light heavyweight titlist Adamek. He looks to be in top shape, so it may be a matter of ring rust for "Fast" Eddie, because that's a pretty serious layoff. Adamek last fought on March 24, beating Nagy Aguilera.
In the co-feature, prospect Bryant Jennings (13-0, 6 KO) makes his third appearance on the network, following wins over Maurice Byarm and Siarhei Liakhovich. This is an actual "stay busy" fight, as Jennings will be facing Steve Collins (25-1-1, 18 KO), who has a nice record in terms of numbers, but little experience against quality opposition.
