HBO's Under the Lights feature is back to preview Saturday night's fight between Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley. As always, I think it's a nice visual tool, especially for more casual fans:
Odds have actually come down for the fight in recent days, and the bout is now favored to go to the 12-round distance. These odds are from Bovada:
Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao -450
Timothy "Desert Storm" Bradley +325Manny Pacquiao vs Timothy Bradley
Over Rounds O 9½ (-280)
Under Rounds U 9½ (+190)Manny Pacquiao vs Timothy Bradley - Method of Victory
Manny Pacquiao By Decision or Technical Decision 11/10
Manny Pacquiao by KO, TKO or DQ 8/5
Timothy Bradley by Decision or Technical Decision 11/2
Timothy Bradley by KO, TKO, or DQ 9/1
Draw 25/1
Things are shaping up for an interesting fight on Saturday, I think. Right now, I won't lie, from my perspective as a guy running a boxing site, this fight has not bought the buzz that a lot of these events do. It just hasn't. This might be more a Friday-Saturday-beyond fight than an all-week media circus, at least as compared to something like Mayweather-Cotto or Pacquiao-Marquez.
Any bets on the PPV numbers for this thing? Since it's unlikely to be some huge impressive number, we probably won't know, but I could see this one slipping below the one million threshold, to be honest.
