Mexican warrior Jorge Arce and young Puerto Rican Jesus Rojas put on a great first round, but didn't even really get a chance to start the second round before an apparent injury to Arce's eardrum ended the bout in a no-contest.

Arce (60-6-2, 46 KO) put Rojas (18-1-1, 13 KO) down in the first round on a left hook, just about 20 seconds into the round. But Rojas battled back hard after that, and went to the corner looking like a potentially tough challenge for Arce.

Instead, the fight was over nine seconds into the second round, as Rojas hit Arce with a low blow (largely caused by Arce pulling Rojas' head down), caught him with a headbutt coming in, and then hit him with an accidental shot to the ear that put Arce down.

While on the canvas, Arce said he couldn't get up, or he would fall down. He didn't really try to get up, but the fight was stopped there after the ring doctor looked at Arce.

Referee Kenny Bayless ruled the injury-causing foul accidental, and the fight was declared a no-contest.

After the bout, Jorge Arce said he wanted a rematch. Jesus Rojas called Arce a "coward," and said "he didn't come to fight." We'll see if these two come back together, because this could be a grudge match now.
