Robert Guerrero and Selcuk Aydin made weight today for tomorrow night's welterweight showdown in San Jose, where the two will vie for the interim WBC title in the main event at the HP Pavilion, live on Showtime.
Guerrero (29-1-1, 18 KO) and Aydin (23-0, 17 KO) also got into half a scuffle, and if you missed the brief video of that earlier, we've got you covered. We also took a look at the fight in Thursday's preview of all four bouts that will be televised, and I think we've got the potential makings of an upset here. We've seen plenty of them lately, and Guerrero's taking a risk jumping two divisions, after 15 months out of the ring and a shoulder surgery, and facing a legit, hard-punching welterweight in his first crack at the division.
Also featured on the main card is Shawn Porter (19-0, 14 KO) vs Alfonso Gomez (23-5-2, 12 KO) in a welterweight bout (that's been made clear, finally). On Showtime Extreme, you can see British super middleweight champion George Groves (14-0, 11 KO) vs Francisco Sierra (25-5-1, 22 KO) in a non-title fight, and Hugo Centeno (14-0, 8 KO) vs Ayi Bruce (22-7, 14 KO) in a junior middleweight bout.
More weigh-in photos after the jump.
