Today at 5 p.m. EDT on Channel 5 in the UK and Wealth TV in the US, Tyson Fury looks to keep his unbeaten record intact with a 12-round heavyweight bout against Vinny Maddalone from Hand Arena in Clevedon, England.
[ Preview: Fury vs Maddalone, Hall vs Haskins ]
Fury (18-0, 13 KO) is facing a familiar level of opponent in this one against the American club fighter Maddalone (35-7, 26 KO), a game battler who always comes to fight. It might not be the world class opposition that promoter Mick Hennessy has been promising, but Fury is still just 24 and building a large fanbase.
In the main co-feature, Stuart Hall (12-1-1, 7 KO) faces Lee Haskins (25-2, 11 KO) for the vacant European bantamweight title. It's a major opportunity for both fighters. Thomas Hill spoke with Haskins earlier this week, and the Bristol fighter says if he's successful in this one, he'll target a world title soon.
Chris Eubank Jr (4-0, 2 KO) is also in action, as the second-generation fighter looks to keep building his young career in front of the Channel 5 audience.
