Olympic boxing is back for day six this morning at 8:30 a.m. EDT, and we'll be leading with the world's best amateur fighter, lightweight Vasyl Lomachenko of Ukraine. Two Americans are in action today, but in the afternoon session.

There will be just eight fights this morning (yes, "just" eight) as we start to move deeper into the tournament, and have two classes per day in the round of 16 remaining.

You can watch live (close to anyway) on NBCOlympics.com, or wait for tape delay on CNBC at 5 p.m. EDT.

Top three fights/reasons to watch of the morning:

1. (Middleweight) Ievgen Khytrov (Ukraine) vs Anthony Ogogo (Great Britain): Khytrov, the top seed, ought to be a big favorite here, but the Great Britain team remains unbeaten thus far on their home turf. If Ogogo can so much as keep this fairly close, will he get the nod?

2. (Lightweight) Qiang Liu (China) vs Yasnier Toledo (Cuba): Toledo had a bye, as he's a seeded fighter. Liu was very impressive in the round of 32, beating Aussie Luke Jackson by a score of 20-7, and sending the veteran Jackson into retirement.

3. (Lightweight) Vasyl Lomachenko (Ukraine) vs Wellington Arias (Dominican Republic): Arias showed good skills in round one, beating Eduar Marriaga of Colombia, 17-8. But this is a different world. You need to see Lomachenko.

There are plenty of other interesting matchups, too, and of the lightweights, I was also quite impressed with Felix Verdejo (Puerto Rico) and Jai Bhagwan (India) in round one. Stefan Hartel (Germany) faces Darren O'Neill (Ireland) in an intriguing fight at middleweight. O'Neill got some scoring help in the first round, in my estimation, while Hartel was classy in his win.

Full slate of fights is after the jump.
